Abstract |
So far, the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has progressively expanded to 209 countries across the globe, resulting in almost 1.5 million cases of infection and 100,000 fatalities. Toll Like Receptor-4 (TLR4) It is capable to identifying several PAMPs, or pathogen-associated molecular patterns, from viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens and induce inflammation . The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between TLR4 and CXR (Chest X_ray )score in COVID-19 patients . Sera samples from 60 SARS-COV-2 patients and 20 healthy control participants were collected. We measured the gene expression for Toll-Like Receptor-4 (TLR4) in the blood samples using quantitative real-time PCR (qRTPCR).The relative gene expression level of TLR4 was statistically significant increased in moderate as compared to very severe according to CXR score in COVID-19 patients . Conclusions: Our investigation revealed that expression level for TLR4 mRNA may be used in diagnosis of COVID-19 severity regards to CXR score . |
