Environmental Track I - Climate Changes

Climate Changes: Causes, Impacts and Recommendations for Ecofriendly Environment

Scope

This workshop is designed to engage participants in an in-depth exploration of climate changes and carbon footprint—two of the most pressing challenges facing our planet. With a focus on scientific understanding and practical solutions, the session aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaborative problem-solving in support of an ecofriendly environment. Key focus areas are scientific foundations of climate change: greenhouse gas dynamics, global warming mechanisms, and climate modeling.
1. Primary contributors to carbon emissions, including industrial activities, transportation, agriculture, and deforestation.
2. Assessment of carbon footprints at individual, organizational, and national levels using scientific tools and metrics.
3. Environmental and socio-economic impacts of climate changes: rising sea levels, extreme weather events, biodiversity loss, and public health risks.
4. Strategies for carbon footprint reduction, including energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, sustainable transportation, and waste management.
5. Policy recommendations and international agreements (e.g., Paris Agreement) aimed at climate mitigation and adaptation.
6. Interactive sessions involving carbon calculators, life-cycle assessments, and group discussions on local and global ecofriendly practices.

This workshop will blend theoretical insights with hands-on activities, making it valuable for students, researchers, educators, policymakers, and environmental practitioners. By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with practical knowledge and actionable strategies to contribute to a more sustainable and climate-resilient world.
